On June 5th, 2024, two friends and I enjoyed a painting picnic on the Chinawiese, right by the Lake Zurich. I began painting on a 60 x 80 cm canvas without any expectations, simply letting the moment guide me. It started with a few waves and flowers, but every time I worked on it, I felt inspired to introduce even more vibrant colors, allowing the painting to come alive with the energy of the season. By August 25th, my painting was complete.

This painting holds a special place in my heart because it was the last one my grandfather saw and complimented before he sadly left this world. His joy and warmth was felt by everyone around him, lighting up any room he entered. His energy was like sunshine - bright, uplifting, and full of life.This painting will always remind me of him because its vibrant and radiant palette feels like the happiness and love he shared with us.
